Baptisms usually take place during Mass (unless prior approval from pastor for other times). You need at least one Sponsor who is at least 16 years of age, active and practicing catholic. A Christian witness (baptized member of a Protestant church) is permitted along with a catholic. If you are wanting a baptism for someone who lives in another town, they will need a letter of permission from their parish where they now live.
Confirmation is offered every 3 years to our High School youth who wish to strengthen their Catholic faith and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Prior to Confirmation students must have recieved Baptism and First Holy Communion as well as participate in our ongoing Religious Education program. Candidates are expected to attend class and participate in liturgical and parish activities. Confirmation will be held next in the year 2021.
Diocesan regulations require six months notification and preparation time. Please contact the parish office to set this up.
